JDE Jewels Review – The Company

JDE Jewelry Review

The JDE Jewels website states that it has been customizing fine jewelry pieces since 1998, yet after doing a bit of digging I learned that the website domain was only registered in 2016 due to the founders trying to expand their breadth of skills.

They were initially a small single proprietor business catering to only friends and family before registering in 2014 in the Philippines under a similar name.

The founder of the company is Daisy Seterra Estrada, according to their website, with corporate stationed in Quezon City, Philippines.

When looking deeper into her, I found out that she is a Biology graduate from DLSU as well as an MBA graduate from the Atenevia Graduate School of Business.

It seems that she has an appropriately credible background for this business, as she specifically manages employees and deals with clientele on a day-to-day basis, as well as participating in a few small television acting roles.

The business’s website states that they have applied for membership to the Guild of Philippine Jewelers.

JDE Jewels Reviews – The Products

JDE Jewelry products

JDE Jewels offers a variety of jewelry products including yellow gold, white gold, and rose gold.

The website also allows customers to customize designs on their pieces if they choose to do so.

Unfortunately, I was unable to find specific pricing for each type of jewelry, this could be due to the fact everything is custom and they can’t provide pricing…

I also discovered that they do not have any stock on inventory, simply the stock images on their website, however, they do state that usually clients send them pictures of what they want and the company will have a series of consultations with many rough drafts before reaching a quoted price.

Which is understandable if it’s truly is custom made to order.

The JDE Jewels Compensation Plan

All JDE Jewels affiliates who sign up are required to make jewelry purchases from the company, and commissions are then earned when they sponsor those who do the same.

When an affiliate sponsors two new affiliates who make a jewelry purchase, the initial person will receive a $50 direct commission.

JDE Jewels Residual Commissions

JDE Jewels also has residual commissions through a 2×12 matrix, which means that a JDE Jewels affiliate is at the top of a matrix, with two positions directly under them, forming the first level.

Through 2 more sponsors from each new affiliate, the matrix creates a second level, splitting off to newer positions as more people are sponsored.

The compensation plan on the website also states that affiliates are entitled to receive rebates on initial purchases until the 12^th level of affiliates is reached, which approximates to about 8000 people investing into the company.

However, it is important to note that to qualify for residual commissions of 2%, a JDE Jewels affiliate must purchase jewelry and then personally sponsor at least two affiliates who do the same.

Level Bonuses In JDE Jewels

JDE Jewels affiliates earn cash bonuses upon filling certain levels of their 2×12 matrix.

Fill Level 3 (8 positions) = $750 bonus
Fill Level 6 (64 positions) = $2250 bonus
Fill Level 9 (512 positions) = $12,000 bonus
Fill Level 12 (4096 positions) = $35,000 bonus and a “vacation voucher”

The Cost to Join JDE Jewels

The cost to join as an affiliate is tied to the purchase of at least one of the company’s jewelry pieces.

Verdict on JDE Jewels

JDE Jewels is a product-based MLM in opposition to the usual service ones we see out there, and that’s why a lot of the commission is based on sponsoring those who buy the jewelry.

Anyone who purchases any of these pieces is considered an affiliate.

In all honesty, I haven’t seen any of the product itself, so I can’t really make judgments about the quality of craftsmanship nor the price (due to custom made jewelry) as there is nothing indicated online, although they do have somewhat of a legit-looking website.

The real problem I see here is how much of a niche market jewelry actually is as a product when finding affiliates to sponsor, especially if they are simply just making replicas for clients of trademarked brands, like the Tiffany setting.

Tiffany has a history of going after big companies, like it did in 2013 with Costco, especially when copyright is infringed using their image of designs.

They ended up winning the lawsuit by 2015 after Costco’s defense of “generic use” was brought up.

However, the CEO has spoken out and apologized for plagiarizing the Tiffany brand, stating that they “overlooked that particular detail” when designing many of their pieces. They say that they found inspiration from the brand and thought it would target clientele who want ‘hip’ designs today but will encourage customers to choose more unique designs in the future.

Hmmm…. Interesting.

Overall, the company seems to be legit, best thing to do is purchase a piece of jewelry and see if it’s actually worth the price tag…
